Unclaimed Property and Funds
The Illinois State Treasurer's Office would like to return money and other unclaimed property to Illinois residents.
State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulis's office has provided Representative Mell with a listing of people and business in the District that have money or assests being held for them at the Treasurer's Office.
Common forms of unclaimed property included uncased payroll check and lost, abandonded or forgotten checking and savings accounts, dividends and safe deposits box content. Most claims are worth at least $100.
